Where to get Free Books
If you are looking for where to get free books, then this page is for you. I will regularly update this page on how to find free ebooks. It is easy to find free books and there are a handful of good resources. I recommend you bookmark this web page, so that every so often you can come back and see if I’ve updated the page with a new site.
It must be noted that many free ebooks are not commercial, but written by amateur authors. Some are actually extremely good, whilst other amateur books are quite bad, filled with errors, lacking an editor and shouldn’t of been distributed. That said I’ve enjoyed quite a few free ebooks written by amateurs.
Also there are commercially available ebooks for free, given away legally for a short period of time. I believe this is to increase their ‘virtual’ sales numbers to make them more visible. You often have to move fast to download these free ebooks and on a few occasions I’ve narrowly missed out on a free ebook.
Lastly not forgetting the free books that are out of copyright. For those like me who love to read older books as well as new books, you will find some gems. Now please bare in mind there are different copyright rules around the world, so make sure you check before downloading. There are many great old free books out of copyright available for download.
I strongly recommend that you don’t download illegal ebooks as you would be hurting the authors and the literature world. Instead if a book your interested in isn’t free, as many are not, try your local library for a paper or hardback version. Else perhaps someone will buy you a book for a present if you can’t afford it.
